Get ready to audition for our upcoming production of Assassins! Professional musical theatre professional, Lynnette Turner Parry, will teach an intro to the musical theatre triple threat: dancing, singing, and acting. The class will explore the principles and techniques that bring this style to life. Lynnette will lead you through all aspects of musical theatre. By the end of this series, you will feel confident enough to audition for a musical.
Supplies the students will be asked to bring:
1. Sheet music for a song that they can audition with - if they have, 3 songs that would be great. 32 measures is enough for each of them to know, one upbeat musical number, one ballad and or one rock or country.
2. Bring two monologues from any dramas or musicals.
3.Any dance shoes they have = Ballet slippers, tap shoes or character shoes. (if you don’t have those, sneakers)
4. Be prepared to learn quickly.
Lynnette currently teaches vocal instruction for Teton Music School. Previous roles for Riot Act include Velma Kelly in Chicago, Pepa in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, and was seen in 2020 and 2023 Shorts. More recent credits include I Can Ski Forever and starring as Lulla Blue at the Rose (which
she wrote, produced and directed her own jazz cabaret show).
This workshop is offered at a low price of just $150 for the whole 6 weeks. We must have a minimum of 6 students to run this workshop, so get your friends to sign up with you! No prior experience required. (Teens and adults only please.)
Sign up for the class today at www.riotactinc.org.
