Adult Education - Scene Study

Riot Act Inc. is thrilled to announce Scene Study Class. Class will begin Tuesday, May 14 at 6pm in Riot Act’s Studio at the Center for the Arts. Register on Riot Act’s website https://riotactinc.org/classes/.

This class offers Scene Study for actors to dive into their craft. Students will work together on scenes chosen by the instructor. Through this, you'll identify your strengths and weaknesses as a performer, and leave this class with a deeper insight into your process.

Riot Act, Inc. developed a curriculum for community members to learn more about all aspects of theatre. This three week workshop will focus on Scene STudy taught by BJ Hanford. Classes will run Tues. nights from 6-8pm May 14, 21, and 28.

BJ Hanford spent 22 years of professional dancing, singing, and acting in NYC followed by 10 years of directing, choreographing, and teaching at Dancers’ Workshop. After a 15-year hiatus from theatre life as a short order cook and chef at guest ranches and Four Seasons, she returned to theatre with a proud commitment to Riot Act, Inc.

This three week workshop is offered at a low price of just $150 for entire three weeks. We must have a minimum of 5 students to run this workshop, so get your friends to sign up with you! No prior experience required. (Teens and adults only please.)
