Adult Education - Stage Management

Riot Act Inc. is thrilled to announce the another great workshop in our Adult Education Program: Stage Management with Jamel Baker. Classes will run Tues. & Thurs. Feb. 13, 15, 20, 22, March 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, and 28 from 6pm to 7pm on Zoom. Register on Riot Act’s website www.riotactinc.org/classses.

Intro to Stage Management: Join a class that introduces you to the fundamentals of being a stage manager. In this class you will learn the basics of what a stage manager does when working on a production. You will learn some of the fundamentals of what a stage manager needs to do during the prep week, rehearsals and tech period.

Jamel Baker (he/him) is a freelance stage manager based in Philadelphia. Jamel has worked both locally and nationally for theatre companies and festivals for over 10 years and is currently the Lead Producer for Passage Theatre (Trenton, NJ) and a board member of Directors Gathering (DG).

This workshop is offered at a low price of just $200 for the whole 10 weeks. We must have a minimum of 5 students to run this workshop, so get your friends to sign up with you! No prior experience required. (Teens and adults only please.)
